01 · Your first day

From an empty app to a closed day.

  1. 01

Tell it how much day you really have.

Settings, then The working day. Set when you start and stop, and your capacity: the real task time a day holds.

    Working day9:00 – 18:00
    Capacity6h a day
  2. 02

Add tasks with one line each.

Type it the way you'd say it. The date, priority and list come out of the words.

  3. 03

Say how long each one takes.

Add for 45m or ~20m. A task with no length can't be planned.

  4. 04

Open Calendar and read the verdict.

The planner fills your capacity and says plainly how far over you are.

    6.0h scheduled of 6.0h · 30m over
  5. 05

Crown one thing. Park what you won't do.

Drag the task that matters onto The one thing. Drag the rest onto Not doing. It comes back tomorrow.

  6. 06

Tick it off and close the day.

Done tasks fold into one Completed row. The crown and the parked list reset at midnight.

02 · Quick add

Type it like you'd say it.

Words it understands light up and turn into chips. Whatever is left becomes the title.

Try

A simplified copy of the real parser, running in your browser. Dates count from today. Numbers read day first, so 12/08 is 12 August. It knows the four starter parts of the day: Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Downtime.

The whole cheat sheet

You typeIt means
a due date
a time
an exact date
a date from now
a start date
the date it must be done by
how long it takes
reminders, as many as you like
a repeat
a repeat that counts from when you finish
when the repeat stops
to priority
a list, made for you if it's new
a section inside that list
which part of the day
how much of you it needs
keep it out of Today

Tap anything in the left column to try it above. In the app, the syntax sits behind the ? in the add panel, and the chips under the field do the same jobs with a tap.

03 · Filters

Ask your list a question.

Filters are a tiny language. Type one and the list answers. Saved filters sit in the Mac sidebar, and under Projects on iPhone.

Also works: tomorrow, 7 days, due before: friday, starts after: +2 days, has: deadline, blocking, focus, notdoing, subtask. Finished tasks stay hidden unless the filter mentions completed. One bare word searches titles. For more than one word, use search: board deck.

04 · A day in parts

A date says which day. A segment says when.

Tasks with a time fall into the right band on their own. Drag one onto a band and it's pinned there for good.

Today

Drag a task onto a band. Or tap a task, then tap a band.

Make a band yours

Try moving Morning to end at 9:00. Watch the 9:30 stand-up lose its band.

A pin survives rescheduling. That's what turns a repeat into a routine.

05 · Repeats that end

Repeats with a finish line.

Type a rule and see where it lands. Add until or for 6 times and it stops on its own.

No date typed? The first one is due today, and each one after lands where the rule says.

What the ! does

It's due on a Monday. You finish it late. When does the next one land?

every 2 weekscounts from the due date
every! 2 weekscounts from when you finished

So one late week doesn't drag every future one backwards.

06 · Waiting on things

Out of the way until they're ready.

Blocked tasks are greyed out and left out of the plan. Waiting and someday stay out of Today until you bring them back.

Blocked

Finish one. See what it frees.

Waiting on

Someone else has the ball.

Type waiting in quick add, or set it from the long-press menu under Status.

Someday

Not now. Not never.

07 · The weekly review

Once a week, make the calls.

Review gathers what needs a decision into a few piles. Each pile asks one question. Answer them and you trust your list again.

Connect an assistant and it can do a rot check too: tasks nobody has touched in weeks, or moved again and again, each with a suggestion to drop, decompose or park as someday. It asks you one at a time.

    08 · Gestures and keys

    Swipe, hold, drag, press.

The same moves on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Try them on the rows below.

    Swipe

Right for a day. Left for the rest.

Swipe right for Today or Tomorrow. Swipe left to delete or start a timer.

    Send invoicesThu
    Long press

Hold a row for everything else.

Timer, the one thing, not doing, list, part of day, priority, effort, status. Right-click does the same on a Mac.

    Drag

Pick it up. Drop it where it goes.

    • The one thingcrowns it for today
    • A day in Weekschedules it
    • A list in the sidebarfiles it
    • A board columnchanges its section or priority
    • Not doing todayrules it out until tomorrow
    • No datestrips the date
    Mac keys

The keyboard acts. The pointer picks.

Click a row to select it, then act with a key. Click here and press any of these to light it up.

Every destructive action offers an undo in the toast. On a Mac, ⌘Z works too.

    09 · Connect your AI

Bring the assistant you already pay for.

Evidential has no chatbot. It has a door. Claude, Codex, Cursor or anything that speaks MCP can read your list and plan with you.

    1. 1

Put the evidential tool on your Mac.

One small program. It talks to the list on your Mac. No account, no server.

    2. 2

      Add it to Claude Code.

claude mcp add evidential --scope user -- /usr/local/bin/evidential mcp

Other apps take a config snippet instead. The agent page has them.

    3. 3

      Ask it something real.

"What can I finish in twenty minutes?" By default every change it wants is held for your yes. Deleting is off.

    10 · Stuck?

    Short answers.

Why is the app empty when I open it?
On purpose. A new install has an Inbox and a few starter filters, and nothing to clear out first. Settings, then The working day is the best first stop.
My Mac and my phone don't match.
iCloud sync is off until you turn it on, and you turn it on per device: Settings, iCloud, Sync with iCloud, on each one. Your phone and watch sync straight to each other with no setup.
Talking made one long task, not several.
Splitting a ramble into separate tasks needs Apple Intelligence. Without it, a ramble is added one task per line. Still parsed, still offline.
12/08 came out as the wrong date.
Numbers read day first, so 12/08 is 12 August. If you think month first, flip it in Settings, Entry.
Why isn't my task in Today?
Look for a start date that hasn't come yet, or a someday or waiting tag. All three keep a task out of Today until it's ready, or until you promote it.
I typed ~Morning and it stayed in the title.
The ~ only matches parts of the day you have. If you renamed Morning, type the new name.
    Can I undo?
Yes. Every destructive action offers an undo in the toast that follows it. On a Mac, ⌘Z works too.
Where do my saved filters live?
In the Mac sidebar, and under Projects, then Filters, on iPhone. Seven starters come with the app, like Ready now and Quick wins.

Not on the App Store yet. Early access is by email.
